With a puff of white smoke, the Vatican announced a new leader of the Catholic church yesterday. 69-year old US-Peruvian citizen Cardinal Robert Prevost assumed the name Pope Leo XIV. He began his term by celebrating Mass today at the Sistine Chapel.
