The festival director, Peter Pribožič from the Agricultural and Forestry Institute of Ptuj, said that homemade products would be offered in tents and from stalls. There will also be wine tastings during the weekend.

He added that the purpose of the festival was to promote Slovenian food.

Events for children, music and folklore performances, and a young talent show will also be part of the weekend's activities.

An opening ceremony will also take place at midday on Saturday, with a speech by the Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, Matjaž Han.
