Do you agree that young people should be more often seen as role models themselves? At MOVIT (the Institute for the Development of Youth Mobility), they do. The NGO has been running workshops as part of the so-called NETWORK OF ROLE MODELS. IMPORTANT NOTE: The content of Sunday’s Radio Si EXCLUSIVE is part of the I KNOW EU 2024 project, which is co-financed by the European Union.
Evan works a piece of land in the Ljubljana Marshes. He's often misunderstood because of his approach to life and farming, as he has no machinery or tractor… He has faced droughts, floods, and even evictions, but Evan is too passionate to stop faming and will always continue planting seeds because it's what makes him alive… The story is a "Land of Dreams" special, created and played at the 2022 Avdiofestival in Ljubljana as part of Rob Rosenthal's traveling workshop. We all have to eat but all to often we don't really pay attention to what the food we eat is doing to us. My guest this week has come to pay special attention to what she and her partner eats for very special health reasons. She has her own TV show iin New Zealand and travels offering others advice though cookery workshops. This is a really inspirational story of surviving a major life problem and Teresa offers some really great music too. By the way she is originally from Slovenia.
Dr Milivojevič is well-known in the field of psychoanalysis from his work with drug addicts and also in identifying how we communicate with each other. He has written many books and travels from his home in Serbia to other countries including here in Slovenia where he has recently been conducting workshops in transaction analysis. Barja Drnovšek and Kristian Kolman are committed to the idea that all of us can benefit from learning music and that means an approach to teaching needs to be not too academic, at least not to start with. I met up with them running a workshop with Bojan Cvetrežnik in Laško, aimed at young children of a wide range of ages and experience and all managed to produce some great performances with an hour concert at the end of the five days. There is much to learn about the value of music!
