The discovery of a million-year-old skull in China may rewrite human evolution theories. The new find suggests that our species, the Homo sapiens, began to emerge at least half a million years earlier than what we thought. Photo: SOJ RTV SLO / AI

We sent a lovely Bosnian-Serbian-Slovenian couple VANJA & OLIVER there to test a 1-day offer prepared by TIC Litija - Experience in the Heart of Slovenia. Tune in to hear more from them, as well as, from the providers (Pr' Škundr Farm, ECO farm Vovše, Geoss Adventure park, Sitarjevec mine). When someone says Greece, our first thoughts will most likely be that of culture, history, good food and beautiful beaches. This week’s guest points out the main topics of conversation in her homeland have been less glamorous these past few years. Christiana says artists and arts students across Greece face the devaluation of their degrees, while legal gaps in tackling femicide in Greece hinder victim's access to justice. She chose to play the song Odí sti fasaría (Prod. by Critical) by the greek artist Sara ATH.

Sharing the court were Serbia's ???? Novak Djoković and Roger Federer of Switzerland. 32-year old Djoković won the longest Wimbledon final in history, in an almost five-hour match. TUNE IN to hear more!
You know what they say, what happens at a FANTOVŠČINA – BACHELOR PARTY, stays at a fantovščina… Well, they say that for Vegas too with a reason… Dave’s friends made our Irish friend walk THE WAY OF THE CROSS – KRIŽEV POT. He had to walk it SOBER - TREZEN, as all the others drank WINE - VINO. After they reached the top of the Kalvarija hill it was party time, in the company of a HARMONIKA – ACCORDION player… Luckily Dave had one rule, »NO STRIPPERS or STRIPTIZETE«… And he hopes the guys obeyed, as he doesn’t remember… Well, the rest is history as I think Dave doesn’t even want to remember…
History is a wonderful thing. It teaches us about important things that happened in the past. Like about the RUINS OF A CASTLE – RAZBITINE GRADU, a PUBLIC BATH – JAVNO KOPALIŠČE, or even about a YOUNG SHOEMAKER - ČEVLJARČEK that saved a city. But on the other hand, there is a saying which says “Happy wife, happy life”. And as our Irish friend learned, no matter how much Google knows, you should at least listen to your better half or let her enjoy just watching a BEAUTIFUL VIEW – ČUDOVIT RAZGLED, if you don’t want trouble in paradise…
SLOVENIA's HIDDEN GEMS no. 13 takes us to the western mining and lace town of Idrija! Daughter Andrea and Mary Jadrzyk from Canada have tried out a tourist offer ''Adventure in Idrija'' (coordinated by Petra Žitnik of the Hudournik Association) for us. There they learnt a tremendous amount of history, enjoyed excellent traditional cuisine and nature and made several friends. Their experience in short: ''It was here that we saw how life above and below ground differed - like day and night.'' Meeting them and recording their story was Lidija Petković. Edited by Andrej Korelič.
