Podobno kot prejšnji teden, se danes posvečamo pevki Ariani Grande, ki ima ta trenutno na radijskih lestvicah aktivna kar dva hita, danes pa je pod drobnogledom "7 Rings". O Ariani Grande smo veliko povedali že v prejšnji oddaji, zato le nekaj besed o pesmi 7 Rings iz albuma "Thank U, Next", ki ga je izdala 8. februarja letos. Že pred izdajo albuma sta izšla singla "Thank U, Next" in "7 Rings", "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" pa je izdala istega dne kot album. Grande je z njimi postala prva pevka, ki je s svojimi pesmimi zasedla vsa tri mesta na vrhu Billboard lestvice, pred njo pa je to uspelo le še Beatlom leta 64. "7 Rings" je Grande napisala z Kaydence, Njomza Vitia, Tayla Parx in Victorio Monét, zraven pa so prste imeli še producenti Tommy Brown, Charles Anderson in Michael Fosterwhen. Pesem '7 Rings' je takoj ob izdaji zasedla vrh lestvice in podrla rekord na Spotify za največ streamov v enem dnevu, saj jih je v prvih 24 urah nabrala preko 15 milijonov. Pesem je Ariana opisala kot himno prijateljstvu, razlog za njen nastanek pa je 1ga decembra objavila na svojem Twitter profilu: ‘’ to je bil kar divji dan v New Yorku. Prijateljice so me peljale v Tiffany's. Spile smo preveč penine. Vsem sem nam kupila prstane. Bilo je noro in zabavno. Na poti nazaj v studio je Njomza rekla 'mater, to mora postati pesem’ in popoldan smo jo napisale.'' Ni pa bilo vse povezano s pesmijo rožnato. Nekateri deli besedila, predvsem "You like my hair? Gee thanks, just bought it", so sprožili kar ostre debate glede rasizma. Še več, kar tri glasbene zvezde so jo obtožile plagiatorstva. Princess Nokia je na Instagramu objavila video, ki prikazuje podobnost z njeno pesmijo 'Mine'. Soulja Boy in 2 Chainz sta jo prav tako obtožila podobnosti s pesmima "Pretty Boy Swag" oziroma "Spend It". Kakor koli, Princess Nokia je svoj video izbrisala, 2 Chainz pa se je kasneje pojavil v remixu in prenehal z obtožbami. Pesem poleg tega malce diši tudi po interpolaciji pesmi "Gimme the Loot" od The Notorious B.I.G.. Te razne obtožbe so bile predmet mnogih debat na socialnih omrežjih, kar pa je zagotovo bila inspiracija za Arianino pesem 7 Rings, pa je klasična pesem 'My Favorite Things' od Rodgers and Hammerstein. Melodija, intonacija in ritem ter celo deli besedila so dokaj očitno izposojeni iz te 60 let stare pesmi, ki je sicer pogosto semplana in prirejana. Najbolj znana klasična izvedba je verjetno tista od Julie Andrews, ki se nahaja na soundtracku popularne filmske adaptacije ‘’Zvok glasbe’’ iz leta 65. Z leti je pesem postala neke vrste standard in so jo izvajali glasbeniki vseh žanrov in ozadij, morda še najbolj uspešno John Coltrane, katerega instrumentalna verzija iz leta 61 je postala njegova podpisna pesem. Bilo je še več adaptacij, mnoge tudi na temo Božiča, kot na primer verzije od The Supremes ali Herp Albert-a, čeprav pesem sama ni napisana kot božična pesem. Ariana Grande pa tudi ni edina od modernih glasbenikov, ki so se je polastili za svoja dela. Hip Hop artisti kot so Xzibit, Saigon in Lauryn Hill so si že vsi sposojali iz nje. Skupno gledano, je pesem 'My Favorite Things' od Rodgers and Hammerstein iz leta 59 prirejena ali semplana v preko 60 primerih, s strani glasbenikov iz vseh možnih glasbenih žanrov, nazadnje pa si jo je sposodila Ariana Grande za nov hit, himno prijateljstvu, 7 Rings.

There are even fewer who listen to Niko Zorjan and want to visit Murska Sobota, because of all the Slovenian dialects, the Prekmurje dialect is their favorite. Monica is one of those. The Serbian exchange student chose to play the song Let it go.
You know what puran poli is? It's a sweet Indian flatbread, which is also the favorite dish of our newest guest. Pranav says he came from India's Dehradun to Maribor to explore the beauties of Europe. According to him, the best thing about studying in Europe is that in Maribor, lectures are not mandatory. He says that people know India as a large country with a large population, many states, but that many people have prejudices about traveling around India as they think it is dangerous. Meet Vilius. The Erasmus student of Medicine comes from Lithuania. He says that one of his favorite memories from Slovenia is the final match between Slovenia and Serbia in the European Basketball Championship. He went to see the live broadcast of the game at the Congress Square in Ljubljana. As the buzzer sounded the end of the game, one of the fans got so excited, they splashed most of their beer into his face. His music choice was a song titled Vyturiai from the Lithuanian band Kamaniu šilelis.
Dimitra is a French student of Law. When she first visited Ljubljana 7 years ago with her parents, she felt an instant connection to the city and knew then that she would come back. And she did. She's spending the whole year in Ljubljana as an Erasmus student. She says she likes how safe and clean Ljubljana is. One of her favorite memories is seeing the Trnovo Church again after so many years. It had, of course, stayed the same. She, on the other hand had changed. Her music choice was Housse de Racket – Aquarium.
