Letos nas čakajo redne volitve v evropski parlament, volili bomo lahko v nedeljo, 9. junija. Ker so mladi še kako pomembno volilno telo, jih k ozaveščeni udeležbi vabi tudi kampanja Walk The Talk.. o njej v tokratni rubriki Izluščeno!
Dave seems TO BE SETTLED – SE JE VKLOPIL into his new job quite well. At their THEME PARTY – TEMATSKA ZABAVA they had to wear CHRISTMAS SWEATERS – BOŽIČNE PULOVERJE. And part of their tradition is also KARAOKE – KARAOKE. Dave sang Alfi Nipič’s SILVESTRSKI POLJUB – NEW YEAR’S EVE KISS pretty well, what do say? Well, as his BOSS - ŠEF says, Dave is very CAPABLE – SPOSOBEN and he’s welcome in their LAW FAMILY – PRAVNA DRUŽINA. Cheers to the New Year!
So, it’s time for Dave to start dressing himself more seriously like a real BUISINESS MAN – POSLOVNEŽ. Today he went to the TAILOR – KROJAČ and he ordered TWO PAIRS OF PANTS – DVOJE HLAČ, FOUR SHIRTS – ŠTIRI SRAJCE and TWO JACKETS or BLAZERS – DVA SUKNJIČA. The tailor took his MEASURES – MERE and he needs to come back for a TRY ON – PROBA in a week. Now all he needs is TWO TIES – DVE KRAVATI and some SHOES – ČEVLJE.
Well, NA ZDRAVJE – CHEERS lovers. Today Dave got some really GOOD NEWS – DOBRA NOVICA. He got a JOB – SLUŽBA at a LAW OFFICE – PRAVNA PISARNA. Fani is PROUD OF HIM – PONOSNA NA NJEGA. HE WILL GRADUATE – BO DIPLOMIRAL next week and HE WILL START – BO ZAČEL with a new job. That really is a REASON TO CELEBRATE – RAZLOG ZA PRAZNOVANJE.
So, everything ended well. Connor Max is with Fani and he doesn’t need a BABYSITTER - VARUŠKA. Dave can go to the pub now and help with the WRONG DELIVERY - NAPAČNA DOSTAVA. And he’ll take Max for A WALK – SPREHOD some other day to see AUTUMN LEAVES – JESENSKO LISTJE. Or neighbour Jože will take him, while AUTUMN – JESEN is his favourite SEASON – LETNI ČAS.
Young parents! Max Conor is with a BABYSITTER – VARUŠKA for the first time. Dave and Fani went to DINNER – VEČERJA to take a little TIME FOR THEMSELVES – ČAS ZA NJIJU. But Dave can’t RELAX – SPROSTITI SE. He’s worried about the baby… is Max HUNGRY – LAČEN, TIRED – UTRUJEN, IN A FRESH DIPER – V SVEŽI PLENICI or PREVIT? Or maybe he's SICK – BOLAN? But everything turns out fine. Fortunately.
Max Connor is in Prekmurje for the first time. He met his GRANDMOTHER – BABICA and GRANDFATHER – DEDEK, and they were very happy to meet their GRANDSON – VNUK. Dave was a bit panicked at the beginning, but Fani CALMED HIM DOWN – GA JE POMIRILA. He shouldn’t be so SENSITIVE – OBČUTLJIV, even if grandma Marija wants to give Max BREAD – KRUH and an EGG – JAJCE, or BILICA as they say in Prekmurje. It’s not meant for Max to eat those things, it’s just a CUSTOM – OBIČAJ in Prekmurje.
It looks like Dave is handling his “dad job’s” pretty well, huh? He knows how to make the baby SMILE – NASMEJATI, and CHANGE THE DIAPER – ZAMENJATI PLENICO which has POOP – KAKEC, despite the STENCH – SMRAD. Fani can be calm, because her boys are BONDING – SPLETATA VEZI really fast and Dave is very BRAVE – POGUMEN, or as he says, a NATURAL TALENT – NARAVNI TALENT.
A baby is on its way to Fani and Dave… After Fani’s WATER BROKE – JI JE ODTEKLA VODA, CONTRACTIONS – POPADKI started. Dave packed Fani’s bag, he took DOCUMENTS – DOKUMENTI, the MATERNITY BOOK – MATERINSKO KNJIŽICO, BIRTH PLAN – PORODNI NAČRT, PADS – VLOŽKE, BRA – MODRČEK and MESH PANTIES – MREŽASTE HLAČKE. Now she is in the DELIVERY ROOM – PORODNA SOBA and everything is about to change, any time now…
So, our couple is starting a new chapter in life! Now they know why Fani was acting STRANGE – ČUDNO this day. The SCALE – TEHTNICA is not BROKEN – POKVARJENA and there are actually HORMONES – HORMONI causing trouble. Fani is PREGNANT – NOSEČA. The PREGNANCY TEST – TEST NOSEČNOSTI confirmed it. She is also very happy about it, but in the next second also very worried about it… well, those are hormones...
And so they left…. for their HONEYMOON – MEDENE POČITNICE. The WEDDING – POROKA is over and now it’s time to relax as a WEDDING COUPLE – POROČNI PAR or HUSBAND AND WIFE – MOŽ IN ŽENA. I believe they all have TEARS IN THE EYES – SOLZE V OČEH. But they are TEARS – SOLZE of HAPPINESS – SREČA. BON VOYAGE – SREČNO POT dear NEWLYWEDS – MLADOPOROČENCA….
The wedding is pretty close now and Dave is still surprised over Slovenia’s CUSTOMS – NAVADE/OBIČAJI. Anyway, tonight he learned that SALTY SNACKS are SLANI PRIGRIZKI, a PLAN is a NAČRT, and STRANGE is ČUDNO. TO GET REST is SPOČITI SE and he also learned that Slovenes are champions when it comes to talking about customs…
Well, sometimes Dave can surprise Fani and he sure did that this time. He already bought his WEDDING SUIT – POROČNA OBLEKA. And that is not going to bring any BAD LUCK – NESREČA, although Fani is quite SUPERSTITIOUS - VRAŽEVERNA. Dave also learned that a RENTAL SHOP is IZPOSOJEVALNICA and that buying a wedding dress for the bride is not a MAN’S THING – MOŠKA STVAR.
The INVITATIONS – VABILA are written in SLOVENE – SLOVENŠČINA and in ENGLISH – ANGLEŠČINA. Fani found the perfect TEMPLATE – PREDLOGA and they wrote the TEXT – BESEDILO together. Now Dave just needs to pick them up at the PRINTING HOUSE – TISKARNA and BUY – KUPITI some ENVELOPES – KUVERTE.
So, the list of GUESTS/INVITES – POVABLJENCI is ready. There is the BROTHER – BRAT, SISTERS – SESTRI, PARENTS – STARŠI, GRANDPARENTS - STARI STARŠI, BEST MAN – PRIČA, BRIDESMADIES - DRUŽICE. They are also inviting FRIENDS – PRIJATELJE and COUSINS – BRATRANCE (for male) in SESTRIČNE (for female). Oh, and don’t forget the CO-WORKERS – SODELAVCI.
