Slovenia is observing the first ever National Reading Day today.
The aim of the day is to encourage Slovenians to read more. Data indicates a decline in reading literacy, with the share of non-readers exceeding 40%.
Running under the slogan Reading Is Joy, the day will see several events across Slovenia. The main event will be held in Maribor.
