Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon hosted her counterparts from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar in Brdo pri Kranju today.
Peace efforts in the Middle East and solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were in the focus of today's talks. The Middle East ministers also acknowledged Slovenia's positive role and proactive approach in the peace efforts. Foreign Minister Fajon said she welcomed the establishment of US President Trump's Board of Peace, but said its mandate should only focus on Gaza.
In the afternoon, the ministers also held talks with PM Robert Golob, and later also attended a public debate about peace in the Middle East in Ljubljana.
