Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon is on an official visit to the Philippines.
Today she held talks with the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos. She also officially opened the new Slovenian Embassy in the capital Manila, and addressed a Slovenian-Philippines business forum. Trade between Slovenia and the Philippines in 2023 amounted to almost EUR 32million, an increase of 33% compared to the year before.
The two countries also signed a memorandum on employment, aimed to simplify employment procedures for Filipinos interested in working in Slovenia.
