The first special flights evacuating Slovenes from the Middle East have begun.
Slovenes stranded in the Middle East will take a bus from the United Arab Emirates to Oman and then fly out tonight.
Airlines have cancelled more than 2,000 flights, leaving many passengers stranded at airports, especially in Doha and Dubai.
Over 700 Slovenian nationals contacted the embassy in Abu Dhabi by Monday. It is estimated that approximately 100 more remain in Oman and elsewhere across the Middle East.
