Japan's Maruyama leapfrogged Austria's Lisa Eder to claim the bronze medal.
Another Slovenian, Nika Vodan, was 8th overall.
Today, Tim Mastnak narrowly missed out on the bronze medal in the Men's Parallel Giant Slalom competition in a photo finish with Tervel Zamfirov of Bulgaria, exactly four years after winning the silver medal at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
The final was also decided by a photo finish. Gold went to Benjamin Karl of Austria, with South Korea's Sangkyum Kim taking silver.
Afterwards, Mastnak said that he had made a small misttake on the transition to the straight but thought that he was in the lead coming to the end of the race. He added that he gave everything today but it just didn't work out.
