
Of the 202km long track, Pogačar covered 75km alone, breaking from the group on the 3rd and last climb. Belgian Remco Evenepoel, who finished 2nd initially clung on but soon cracked. While Evenepoel chased Pogačar for some time as part of a four-man group, Pogačar increased his advantage to around a minute, where he stayed until the end of the race. Young Paul Seixas from France finished in 3rd place.
