PM Robert Golob says he will not resign following reports of him breaching integrity rules.
The anti-corruption watchdog found that PM Golob breached integrity rules with two text messages sent to a former interior minister in 2022. In the messages, Golob expressed concern about staffing issues, and dissatisfaction that an earlier agreement had not been implemented. PM Golob said the text messages did not amount to an integrity violation and will therefore not be stepping down.
PM Golob also questioned the timing of the findings – two months before the elections – but added that his fate would be decided by the voters.
