Nova Gorica in Slovenia and Gorizia in Italy will host a Walk of Friendship on Thursday.
The organised walk around the two towns was first held in 1976.
The walk of friendship will kick off a series of events until May 10th as part of the 2025 European Capital of Culture project.
This year participants will be able to walk 7, 12 or 16 kilometres.
