Low-cost airline Eurowings launched direct flights between Ljubljana and Germany's Düsseldorf today. There was a small ceremony today to welcome the new Eurowings flight from Dusseldorf.
Passengers will be able to fly between the two cities three times a week. The flight between Ljubljana and Dusseldorf takes about 1h and 40min.
Janez Krašnja from Fraport Slovenia, says this is the 24th air carrier to have regular flights from Ljubljana, making the Jože Pučnik airport the biggest in the region in terms of air carriers with regularly scheduled flights.
The new connection was made possible with Slovenia's airport fee subsidies.
