Two of the three coalition partners have drafted a bill to allow cannabis for personal use in Slovenia. It would also allow adults to grow up to four cannabis plants at home. The sale of home-grown cannabis would not be allowed.
The bill also includes a scale of THC tolerance in road traffic, similar to the one used for alcohol.
The bill would also prohibit smoking cannabis near minors, especially in public.
A public consultation period is planned first.
