Heavy rainfall caused damage to infrastructure and triggered landslides in the Goriška Brda region. Some local roads and bridges are closed for traffic. Around 150 people are cut off from the rest of Slovenia.
The rain also flooded buidings in the Tolmin, Idrija, and Kanal ob Soči areas. Officials warn there is still a danger of landslides.
Meanwhile, torrential rain also caused flooding in Italy's Gorizia region. Two people are reported missing in the border area with Slovenia, while landslides engulfed three houses in the village of Brazzano.
