The government paid an official visit to the Gorenjska region today.
The region faces growing tourism figures, but also infrustructure problems. The government announced that permits have been aquired for a new A2 highway junction near Kranj. Infrastructure Minister Alenka Bratušek said studies were also in favour of re-establishing the rail connection between Jesenice and Hrušica, including two more train stops along the way.
During the visit, a dry detention basin was also formally inaugurated in Železniki - the last in a series of flood protection measures.
