A new centre for forest protection, seeds and plants opened in Ljubljana today.
The new centre will aid the development of tree nursery activities, seed production, and boost forest protection.
The Forest Seed, Plant and Protection Centre is located near the Slovenian Forestry Institute and is equipped with a state-of-the-art research lab and supporting facilities. Spanning on more than 2,500 m2, the investment was valued at EUR 8.7 million euros and was co-funded by the EU.
