National motorways operator DARS has awarded the contract for the most complex part of a new expressway to a consortium led by Kolektor for nearly 400 million euros.
The area is part of a nearly 20 km section in north Slovenia between Velenje and Slovenj Gradec.
It will have ten viaducts, two twin-tube tunnels and more than 35 support structures.
It is expected to be built in four years and four months, meaning it would be completed in 2029 if construction began now.
