Slovenian automotive supplier Cimos is set to lay off 175 of its 500 workers, all from its three plants in Slovenia. According to the newspaper Dnevnik, the largest cuts—around 120 jobs—will take place at the Senožeče plant in the southwest, with layoffs expected by the end of the month. Cimos, owned by a German company, also operates six facilities in Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia. Workers have been on edge as restructuring moves forward without clear communication from management. The plan includes job cuts, asset sales, and relocating production to Serbia and Bosnia, sparking two strikes last autumn.
