A proposed ban on fireworks in Slovenia has been watered down. The bill has now been changed to allow people to buy and use F1 category fireworks. These are considered low risk and low noise.
The Freedom Movement said that the total ban could not be put in place due to EU rules on the harmonisation of firework sales on the market.
The bill prohibits the online sales of fireworks. It also increases the age limit for the sale of F1 fireworks from 14 to 18 years of age.
